Progress Grants on Hiatus for 2008

For the last few years, The IA Institute's Progress Grants initiative has invited academics and practitioners to apply for two US$1000 grants encouraging research and publication that furthers the Information Architecture body of knowledge. However, the latest call for proposals came and went without receiving any applications. The Institute's description of the program states that in years when there are no suitable proposals available, we will simply skip that year and focus on preparing for the next. While we would have welcomed applications for this year's round, we also welcome a chance to direct energies toward some other important transitional initiatives for the coming year. We look forward to next year's Progress Grants deadline, when we hope to see renewed interest in the program.
