Peter Morville Speaks before Packed Second Life Amphitheater
July 28, 2007 08:15 PM
The IA Summit Second Life Redux series continues with another great turnout and another great presentation. Peter Morville's "Information Architecture 3.0" drew a large and enthusiastic crowd to Info Architecture island Many were repeat visitors from last week's opening session of the series, while others were IAs new to Second Life and intrigued by the opportunity to hear this world-class session and meet Peter in person.

Dick Hill, Executive Director of ASIS&T (the organization that produces the annual IA Summit), opened the evening with a colorful introduction. Peter's talk, which was also webcast live, was a thought-provoking and inspiring distillation of his 2007 pre-conference workshop. Attendees included IAs and related practitioners from across the US, Canada and Europe. During the reception that followed, the group engaged Peter in a spirited discussion over virtual sushi and whiskey cocktails.
Snapshots can be viewed at Flickr. The transcript includes the discussion at the post-session reception. You can also download the slide presentation.
Next in the series is Marianne Sweeny's "Search Engine Optimization and IA." Join us on Friday, August 3 at 12:00 noon Pacific Time on the IAI's Info Architecture island.
