Announcing AIfIA Leadership Seminar at IA Summit 2005
December 17, 2004 03:19 PM
December 17, 2004 -- AIfIA is pleased to announce its upcoming Leadership Seminar, taking place in March 2005 at the ASIS&T IA Summit in Montreal, Canada. This seminar will showcase directions for the field of Information Architecture, and provide a place for IA practitioners to share their own challenges and advances in the field with their peers.
AIfIA speakers include Louis Rosenfeld, Christina Wodtke, Scott Hirsch, Lee Strickland, Paul Ford, Livia Labate, and Jess McMullin. The format will be highly interactive, and allow for participants to share ideas and insights with the speakers and each other.
In keeping with the overall conference theme, Crossing Boundaries, the seminar will cover a wide range of topics spanning multiple facets of IA. Sample topics include Enterprise Information Architecture, Security and IA, the Semantic Web, IA and Business Strategy, and Globalization. Participants will leave with a solid understanding of each topic.
This seminar is intended for those already familiar with and experienced in IA. Attendance will be limited to 45 participants; early registration is suggested, as all previous seminars have sold out.
For those who couldn't attend The Future of IA Retreat in October 2004, this will be an opportunity to learn about emerging practices, and participate in an informal, highly interactive forum. For those who did the retreat, there will be new and different speakers, and additional topics to consider as you plan next steps toward your future in information architecture.
For more information about the IA Summit, see http://www.iasummit.org/ -- here's the online registration. More information about the Leadership Seminar will appear first on the AIfIA members' email list - join AIfIA to subscribe.
