AIfIA Job Board Continues to Grow
April 01, 2004 06:21 PM
With steady growth in its first nine months, the AIfIA job board has emerged as one of the best places for information architects and user experience professionals to learn about job openings.
Nearly 300 full-time and contract positions have been posted since the job board launched in June 2003. By the end of last year, the bi-weekly newsletter had listed 176 jobs. In the first quarter of 2004, the job board has already posted 105 positions.
Andrew Hinton, an information architect with the Vanguard Group, found his position through AIfIA's job board. "The job board was excellent for me," says Andrew. "I applied to a number of the listings, and found it to be the best combined resource of IA-specific jobs that I could find anywhere. It rocks."
"AIfIA is the only professional organization solely dedicated to information architects, so our job board is a natural place for IA-related positions," says Samantha Bailey, AIfIA board member and job board coordinator. "We're also really pleased to see postings for other user experience disciplines. The success of the job board so far is a reflection of AIfIA's diverse and talented membership."
