Senior Multimedia Designer
Halifax/Dartmouth, NS, CAN
Full-time, permanent position.
Form:Media is a Halifax-based firm that specializes in interpretive planning and design, environmental graphic design, multimedia development and brand identity. We are one of the leading creative firms in this region with planning and design projects throughout Atlantic Canada, Canada and overseas. Our work involves an exciting mixture of interior, architectural, industrial and landscape design projects that often involve museums, university campuses, urban developments and park environments. Many of our contracts include a blend of audio-visual, video, touchscreen, web and digital multimedia productions that are integral to the success of the project. We are always seeking ways in which to innovate in this regard, and how best to integrate multimedia with more traditional communication systems and educational environments. As our workload has grown, so has our need for talented multimedia design staff.
We are looking for a seasoned multimedia designer with a background in digital media design, graphic design and/or interactive/educational media design.
The position demands the ability to be involved in ongoing multimedia-digital media contracts including the planning, conceptual, design development, client relations, and production. Strong organizational and visualization skills are must. Programming skills are a strong asset, along with an easygoing attitude, inclination for lifelong learning and proactive work ethic.

Applicants should have proven experience in conceptualization, development and implementation of digital multimedia work, including web site design and management using the latest software tools (HTML 5, Dreamweaver, PHP/MySQL, Java, After Effects), touchscreen interactive (Director, Flash), mobile applications, and social media initiatives. Applicants must have a portfolio of recent work showcasing the skills mentioned and a Higher Education degree or relevant work experience of an equitable time span.
Candidates should have grounding in Web Content Management platforms and experience managing Websites. A minimum of 4 years experience is required.
