User Experience Architect

Job description

QVC's Interactive Technology team is growing! Be part of that growth as a User Experience Designer. Reporting to the Manager, User Experience, the User Experience Designer helps define information architecture and navigation for QVC.com, Mobile Apps and other interactive platforms and devices. The Designer creates interactive design deliverables such as wireframes, site maps, process maps, feature lists, mockups, UI specifications, working prototypes and other artifacts to describe the intended user experience. This position has potential for future advancement and is a great opportunity to contribute to a highly visible part of QVC's business at our corporate headquarters in West Chester, PA.

The User Experience Designer supports usability research studies to meet organizational objectives, develops test materials and analyzes customer data, including usability research findings, customer feedback and site metrics to better understand user audience and then make recommendations to better serve customers and business goals. Using a collaborative approach, the Designer works closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Creative and Technical teams to understand their business models and goals and then help define strategy, content and features to meet those needs. The Designer manages user experience projects developing thorough, realistic plans that support organizational objectives.

Job qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related field.

1 - 2 years experience in interaction design, usability, or information architecture.

Familiar with front-end technology including HTML 5, CSS3, Javascript.

Passionate about user-centered design and best practices for web and mobile devices.

Ability to work constructively with a team.

High level of initiative and independently movtivated.

Demonstated ability to manage multiple projects in quick turnaround environment.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Strong Experience with wire framing and prototyping programs such as Axure RP.

Experience with ecommerce industry preferred.

Understanding of marketing/business strategy preferred.

Interactive design for new media and mobile devices a plus.

Knowledgeable of IOS and Android Design Guidelines a plus.
