UX ARCHITECT

Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.

Full-time, permanent position.

Job description

Qualifications: Minimum: Bachelor's Degree. Preferred: Master's Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related discipline Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage priorities. Effective problem solving and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions. Meeting facilitation and presentation skills. Good mix of editorial, design, business, and technical understanding.
3-5 years of experience in the following:
o creating sitemaps, wireframes and user flows
o creating intuitive interaction and navigation models
o gathering & documenting front-end requirements

Experience designing for Mobile products
Experience gathering and documenting high level (business) requirements and low level (functional) requirements.

Experience working either in-house or in a consultant role with large, matrixed working environments; experience working with large media clients or organizations is also preferred. Ability to communicate usability standards and rationale clearly and effectively. Experience with analytics, usability testing and other methods of consumer feedback

Duties: The Mobile User Experience Architect will work closely with UX, design, editorial and product staff to turn content on Mobile devices into intuitive interaction models through the use of user flows, sitemaps, user scenarios and wireframes. This role will work with others to whiteboard and concept solutions to complex information and navigation problems creating usable and innovative interfaces for a suite of CNN mobile products such as iPhone, iPad and Android applications. Works closely with CNN and third-party technical teams by documenting and communicating interaction and functional specifications. Tests apps throughout the development lifecycle ensuring the execution is meeting the user experience envisioned. Helps prioritize features based on importance to the overall product experience. Helps ensure that user-centered design practices are followed for mobile projects working with UX, research and other CNN.com staff to capture and respond to audience feedback as appropriate. Helps advocate for end-user needs by capturing consumer insights through methods such as analytics, voice of customer surveys, A/B tests and usability testing. Assists with additional duties of the User Experience department including helping maintain best practices for usability standards and site style protocols, including user feedback best practices. Other duties as assigned.

An estimated 10% of this positions' time will require travel.
