While gatherings among information architects and experience design professionals used to happen with much regularity in the Bay Area, it seems like it's been years since the community has actively been getting together. Much has changed over that time. Roles have become more defined and codified. Jobs have gone away, and then come back. New organizations have been formed. And perhaps our work has evolved.

So, it's about time for us to come together again. With that in mind, the Asilomar Institute for Information Architecture (AIfIA) and the American Institute of Graphic Arts' Experience Design community of interest (AIGA ED) will be co-sponsoring an informal gathering this Thursday night, Feb. 5th, from 6:30-9pm. Stanford University's HCI program will be hosting the event, in Cordura Hall room 100.

The evening will be an informal opportunity to meet local practitioners and students, and discuss examples of both IA and UX work. There will be presentations of work by four Bay Area IA/UX designers, and attendees are encouraged to bring deliverables from their own project work for discussion.

Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome.

Hope to see you there!
